about

The Cartesian Reunion Memorial Orchestra (1979-92) was a composer/performer collective that was the premiere Postminimal Performance Ensemble during the 1980-90's in Southern California. They performed at many art galleries and performance spaces with performance artists, choreographers, and theatre companies during the rich alternative performance art scene in Downtown Los Angeles during this time. Innocent Hands Recordings presents these five works as a sampling from over 30 works Moshier composed for the ensemble. The bonus track is an ensemble that emerged along with CRMO: Red Ice, a short-lived precursor to the Liquid Skin Ensemble. Nothing on these tracks is fabricated or electronic, they're all live with imperfections.
