Innocent Hands Recordings founder Moshier: "I've admired Greg's work for quite some time (since our days at the NetNewMusic site) and feel privileged to have him contribute to the growing roster of composers at Innocent Hands Recordings. His works have a breadth and innocence and at the same time their process speaks to the contemporary condition in a way that is quite unique."
Composer Hooper: "With the exception of "Ship", these pieces are all produced using some sort of process based method - either a set of simple instructions, like in "Three Shapes and Two Tunings" where the guitar is played by tapping on the fretboard using only three shapes and two very different tunings, or through programming software like in "Unselected", where note pitch from one of Satie’s "Gymnopédies" is mapped to the timing information from raindrops hitting the surface of a pool. But almost always I listen to the output of the process for hints of something buried, something that can be enhanced through editing to produce a music that I will enjoy emotionally. And if that works for me, hopefully it will work for someone else."
